Latest Course List!

We have just updated our Course List right up until the 1st of November. Here’s what we’ve got in store for you:

A series of three courses on FORAGING:

Jeremy is teaming up with three other instructors to deliver these courses on foraging for food, fibre and firewood from Devon’s wonderful hedges. This is a great chance to get to know our hedges better, and understand how useful they are.

Scythe Courses:

Ever popular since Poldark’s appalling attempt to cut his meadow, scythes are amazingly versatile and delightful tools to use. We have courses for beginners and improvers.

The Autumn brings a whole series of courses related to hedges and their maintenance.

  • Biochar – using all that brash to create a soil improver
  • Hedge laying – the traditional way to manage hedges
  • Bill Hook and Axe Sharpening – get those tools fit for use
  • Hedge management, history and ecology – a day with ecologist John Day

We’re really excited to be offering such a great array of courses and hope you can join us.

Please not that we like to keep the groups very small to ensure quality tuition and that some of these courses are only run once in a season so please book now to avoid disappointment.
