Walls

Dry stone walls are just made from stone and nothing else. There is no mortar, or soil in behind. Dartmoor is covered with these walls, many created by clearing the stones out of the fields.

Most walls are of a double skin construction which means there is a face on each side with small stones filling the gaps in the middle.

However, some are also single skinned with stones balanced on top of each other. You can see straight through them.
